WisconsinBOGO

Put your coupon in every member's pocket.

WisconsinBOGO members carry coupons for restaurants, shops, golf, entertainment and everyday services on their phone. You write yours, your staff tap one button or scan a barcode, and you see how many people it brought in. Listing is free.

What you get

How it works

  1. Sign up

Enter your business details and your first coupon. Add a logo and a few photos if you have them. It takes about five minutes.

  2. We review and list you

We look over each business before it appears, so members only see real places.

  3. A member shows their phone

Your staff tap Redeem on the member's phone and confirm. Or, if you choose the barcode option, the member brings up a barcode and your register scans it.

  4. The coupon is used

That member cannot use it again until the wait you chose has passed: a year, 30 days, a week or a day.

Questions owners ask

What should the coupon be?
It is your call. Buy one, get one is the classic: one free entree, round of golf or oil change with the purchase of another. Not every business can give a second item away, so a percent off (20% off any mattress), dollars off with or without a minimum ($10 off when you spend $50), a free item or something else all work too. You add the highest value the coupon can be worth, such as $16.50, and any fine print. For a percent off, you add about what a member typically saves instead. The value is required: it is what members see as their savings.
Which categories are there?
Restaurants, Fast Food and Pizza, Groceries, Shopping, Entertainment, Golf, Health and Beauty, Home and Garden, Automotive, and Services. Pick the one where a member would look for you.
Can I have more than one coupon?
Yes, up to 20, and each can sit in its own category. A golf course with a restaurant can list rounds of golf under Golf and a fish dinner under Restaurants.
How often can one member use a coupon?
You choose for each coupon: once a year, like a printed coupon book, or once every 30 days, every 7 days or every day. You can also allow more than one use per period, for example two rounds of golf a year. The app enforces it, so staff never have to keep track.
How does the barcode option work?
For each coupon you can enter the barcode your register already uses for that discount: a UPC, a Code 128 or a QR code. When the member is checking out they tap to show it, and your scanner reads it off their phone like any other barcode. The app counts the coupon as used at that moment.
What does my staff need to know?
For a tap coupon: tap Redeem on the member's phone, then confirm. The screen turns to Redeemed with a running clock, so an old screenshot is easy to spot. For a barcode coupon: scan the phone. There is nothing to install and no login for staff.
Can I change, pause or end a coupon?
Yes, anytime, from your business page. You can set an end date, pause one coupon, or hide your whole business and bring it back later.
What about days I do not want coupons used?
Switch them off for any day you like: every Saturday, or specific dates such as holidays and league nights. You stay on the list and the map, and members see that coupons are not valid that day.
What do I learn about members?
Counts, dates and times, and a code for each member so you can tell regulars from first visits. We do not share members' names or email addresses.
Who pays for what the coupon gives away?
You do. WisconsinBOGO is a membership and marketing program. Every coupon is offered and honored by your business.
